Dear UWCEA Community,
I hope this message finds you rested, restored, and perhaps still holding onto a few great memories from the break, whether that was a quiet pause at home, adventures across borders, or just moments that gave you time to breathe.
As we open the doors to a new academic year, I want to extend a heartfelt welcome back to each of you: students, staff, families, and everyone who makes this community what it is.
There鈥檚 something about coming back to the rhythm of the mountain, the laughter in the breezeway, the quiet energy that builds when the dorms start filling, or at the moment, the Kishari house, classrooms start buzzing, and we all begin again.
This year brings with it new faces, new dreams, and new opportunities to grow, as learners, as people, and as a community. For some, this is the final stretch of a transformative journey. For others, it’s the very beginning. And for all of us, it鈥檚 a chance to choose, again, who we want to be to each other.
Let鈥檚 return with open minds, soft hearts, and the courage to engage fully. Let鈥檚 keep asking big questions, showing up for one another, and remembering that belonging isn’t something we find, it鈥檚 something we build.
To our students, we鈥檙e so glad you鈥檙e back. This place isn鈥檛 the same without your energy, your curiosity, and yes, even your questionable shenanigans.
To our staff, thank you for the love, time, effort, and intention you bring to your work. What you do matters and is felt throughout the campus and our school life.
To our families, thank you for trusting us, again, with your young people. We don鈥檛 take that lightly.
